Your favorite & extremely one-sided Republican news team is back... & this time blaming Horror Movies as the root cause for everything thats wrong in America. And guess who's leading the charge? Yup, you're right... Bill "Shut The Hell Up" O'Reilly.

I don't know if any of you caught the show this morning, but Mr. O'Reilly had two guests on the show.. one of them, a Hollywood know-it-all that no one really cares about that talked about how all the people who work in Horror and those who support it are just scums... and the other guest, a psychotherapist, who says if we watch horror movies... we all have rage problems and will most likely act out and harm others... oh and that we're scum.

O'Reilly discussed many newer horror films like the entire "SAW" franchise, "Hostel", & "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning." And it's funny that he BARELY mentioned "The Hills Have Eyes" because it was released by a Fox imprint company... and they didnt mention "Turistas" at all... a new horror/thriller being released by the FoxAtomic company later this year. But it was obvious that these guys never saw the movies they were complaining about (they even admit it) and just decided to take some shots at a culture that they don't like... therefore it's bad. They were just talking out of their conservative asses and blaming the blame on their dislikes. They really have no clue what they're talking about... It's one of the most extremely sided segments that wears its flaws on its sleeves that I've seen come from Fox. I mean if you're going to complain about something... & go national with it on a newscast... shouldn't researching the the actual subject be a priority??

And one point they mention the horror movies coming out today couldn't have been made years ago... I know I'm just as confused as you are. The first horror film was made around 1896. All the famous cult favorite movies that came out in the 60's & 70's are far more violent & realistic then what's out there today.

If horror movie goers are the reason for the scums of America... I suppose the Priests who molest children, bad parenting, drug dealers in grade schools, big business fruit cakes who steal money, and people who start wars for no reason who cause international uproars... they don't do anything as bad as people who watch a horror flick every now & then.

Darren Lynn Bousman, directer of SAW II & III fired back at the O'Reilly factor in a blog statement... He'll probably go more public in the coming days since O'Reilly really took his personal demons out on the Saw franchise in the segment... but you can read what Boussman had to say here: THE BLOG

Sorry about the essay, but that pissed me off. I know many of you enjoy horror flicks every now & then... so this should piss you off as well. And sorry if I got a little political above, but I'm talking about Fox News... which is impossible to mention without being somewhat political!
