**PLEASE READ THE BELOW IMPORTANT TOURNAMENT INFORMATION**
1. BALL CARDS File is attached. For the Mens Division and Womens Division, the tournament will consist of six (6) traditional team games and fifteen (15) Baker games. There will be a total of three (3) lane conditions which will be designed in accordance with USBC Collegiate Rules. ALL PATTERN INFORMATION WILL BE RELEASED ONE (1) HOUR PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED START TIME OF EACH SQUAD.IN ORDER FOR ANY TEAM TO RECEIVE THE INITIAL OIL PATTERN, THE COMPLETED TEAM BALL CARD MUST BE COMPLETELY FILLED OUT. If you want fill them out and scan them back to us, that is great! We will be at Western Bowl starting at 12:00 PM on Friday to take these cards.
2. PADDOCK Due to remodeling at Western Bowl, we only have room for a WOMENS paddock behind lanes 39-40. The guys will have to take their equipment in and out. Heated trailers run about $6,000 and we cannot afford that expense at this time.
3. OIL PATTERNSReminder, they will be distributed to you one (1) hour before the scheduled start time of each squad. ALL PATTERN INFORMATION WILL BE RELEASED ONE (1) HOUR PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED START TIME OF EACH SQUAD. The oil pattern for the bracket finals will be distributed once the final eight (8) teams are determined. Athletes are allowed to adjust ball surface prior to each specific block of the tournament. Once practice begins for each block, surface adjustments are NOT allowed. For the baker match play finals, each new match will be considered a separate block.
4. CREDENTIALS Each athlete and coach will received a custom credential. We ask you to pick these up from us on Friday. You must wear these credentials to get in and out of the bowling center on Saturday and Sunday. A picture is attached.
5. ENTRANCES Coach and Athlete entrance ONLY will be behind 59-60. PLEASE ONLY USE THIS ENTRANCE. Entrance for paying spectators will be the main entrance behind 29-30. You will see the attached banners and signs to remind you. PLEASE INFORM PARENTS.
6. NEW KEGEL OIL We will be utilizing two (2) new Kegel oils which have been thoroughly tested in a secret lab at Kegel. I want to be 100% clear that no one from Webber International has had any knowledge or access to these products. We have tested the products and are 100% confident in their ability. They oils will be referenced as New Kegel C and New Kegel T. That is the only information regarding the oil which will be shared.
THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS FOR MAKING THIS EVENT SUCH A GREAT SUCCESS!
· Columbia 300 (Title Sponsor and Official Ball Manufacturer)
· The Kegel Company, Inc (Lane Maintenance Provider)
· Logo Infusion (Merchandise Provider)
· On The Ball Bowling (Awards Provider)
· Brunswick (Capital Equipment Provider)
· Royal Pin Leisure Centers (Official BPAA Host Center)
We wanted to also make sure everyone was confirmed that we will start the session at 5:30pm. We will do announcements and Introductions, followed by 15 minutes of open practice on any lanes you choose - once doubles pairings are provided, players will just move one pair after each game played. Once the Doubles event is finished, we will immediately proceed into the Singles event.
Because we have a full squad this year (40 players), we will ask that all bowling balls and accessory bags to be used will be kept in bowlers area but NO bags ... the bags will be kept in a designated area for the players but not on the concourse (for safety and security purposes) - you will have a designated space assigned to you when you arrive.
Bottled Water will be provided for the athletes and coaches.
Schedule 1pm: Depart 330pm: Food in Sedalia 5pm: Estimated Arrival 915pm: Depart/Food 1245am: Return to campus
Intercollegiate Sectional Team Qualifiers March 11-12, 2017
Intercollegiate Singles Qualifier: March 10, 2017 Tell Phil whether you want to bowl or not, and where you want to bowl based on the four possible locations the team will be sent by January 27. Entries open the morning after team assignments are announced Wednesday, February 22, and it's first come first served, so I must know what everyone wants to do BEFORE hand to get all the approvals done through the school. At this point, I do expect the school to pay the entry fee for everyone.
Team has been sent to Smyrna, TN. Everyone that wanted to bowl singles has been entered at their preferred location, as indicated in the separate thread. For those traveling with the team on the team bus, I am setting into motion a plan to have the bus arrive by 1pm, and get everyone out of class by 1:30 p.m. If you intend on traveling on your own in any direction (due to spring break), I need a travel form ASAP.
