Obviously, this isn't the highest 5 averages or diffs. The first three are bowling the best on the team. Brandon and Joey have been selected not only because of their bowling talent, but also their maturity and leadership skills that they bring to the team. As the only two seniors on the squad, over their 4 years here they have demonstrated what takes to be a good team player.
While Rice and Petzoldt made the team, I would have their current status on the team as the 7th and 8th players. That doesn't mean they won't be starters by the of the season, but it does mean that the final three bowlers selected could be the starters on the National Team. While there are now only three spots available, there is still much to be decided on who the starters for this year's team will be.
