RE: New Shirt

Not sure I can do that and still get the price, but I'll check.  Still, any shirts ordered after tryouts may not arrive until after October is over.

Since this is the shirt that WE pay for, I can't just order extra ones unless I know for sure they'll be used and paid.

Well, what I was thinking is that you could get the sizes of all people trying out this year. Kind of get an idea of the sizes you'll need. I know I'll guarantee to buy the jersey, so it won't be extra, and I'm sure I'll be one of the few (if the only) XXLs. Then order a few of each, just so we can cover a varsity team, even if they have to wear some bigger jerseys.

Phil, could you just get everyone's shirt size at the meeting? Then order them that week? That way we may get them before the first tourney. Just a thought.

Yes, that would work, but that would mean everyone would have to pay for and get a shirt whether they make the travel roster after try outs or not.  That's the complication. :/

I think that shouldn't be a problem. They're going into tryouts knowing they're paying a fee for a shirt, so I don't see why anyone would have a problem getting the shirt even if they don't make the roster. That way we can order shirts early, and I'm sure the company will love a big order like that.

It would be amazing to get these shirts before the first tournament

Could the shirt be re-designed, but keeping some of the ideas of the current one?

I would love to try designing something else...

Added the USBC Collegiate logo to the front.

So, if we make nationals, we shouldn't have to worry about wearing a patch if we wear this shirt.

I have NOT given up on getting our new shirt this season.

I have found a company based out of Chicago (I believe) that does sublimated shirts. They already have a bit of a foothold in the outdoor sports world and are branching out into bowling, among other things.  Looks like their price point will be similar to what we were going to get from the other company and their turnaround time is such that if I send an order by the end of finals week, we should have them before our first J-term tournament.  (emphasize "should")

They have the ability to do a zippered polo and have taken the design we had before and created their own version.  (see attached)  Sizing should be similar.  They have men's and women's sizes that generally run big, so they advise never getting "a size up."  I believe that's how the other shirts went.  I am getting some samples in the next few days, but they only had men's sizes to send me.

Unless I receive a huge wave of negative response in general, my plan is to order these shirts based on the list of those that wanted them before once I'm satisfied with the design and everyone is comfortable with sizing.  I'll post here when I get the samples.

Their website is:  http://www.rayjussports.com/ if you want to check things out personally.  They also have a sizing chart there.  Their general website is:  http://www.rayjus.com/

Thanks.

The examples make it kind of look like the jerseys are similar to the ones that the USBC gives for the youth programs. It's not that type of material is it?

The mock-up isn't necessarily a representation of the material or the shirt type.  The software they have won't allow them to show a polo.  But, for those concerns and sizing, that why I'm getting some actual samples sent.

Lets definitely go for it :) Also, do they have a sizing chart they can send us for the women's shirts so we can at least take our measurements and get a better idea of what size we need?

Krista,

There's a sizing chart on one of the websites posted in the previous thread.

I see there is two styles of women's shirts, babydoll and standard. Can we get both? Like if some of us want standard and some want babydoll, can they do both in one order or do we have to decide on what style we want collectively?

Sample shirts have arrived and I have them at my office.  I just received men's sizes, though.  Women's sizes can probably be judged somewhat from men's sizes.

They do appear to run big.  For girls, we CAN get your preference between regular women's cut and babydoll.

In order to get them here before our first J-term event, I'll have to order them this week, so let me know if you want to change sizes or anything.
