I normally don't post stuff like this on here but I thought since the world is supposed to end tomorrow, I might as well. We are coming into the last part of the season and this is the most important part of the season. This is when we need to raise the intensity and work together as a team, if there is someone you don't get along with on the team, get over it and work together anyways. Our only goal should be, and it is for me, is getting to and winning nationals... Anything short will be a failure. There is no way we can do this unless we work together as a team and stay focused. The other thing that we need to do is believe that we are the best team in the country which I honestly do. I for one am sick of everyone saying that a certain team is the most talented team in the country...I don't care what they say because we are the best TEAM in the country and we are going to prove it this April. I hope the rest of you agree with this. Oh and Merry Christmas to everyone.
I I agree with Tyler! When it comes to bowling and life, everyday you wake up allows for opportunity. We are never going to be the same person we were last week and tomorrow we won't be the same person we are today. The question is which direction do you want to go? Just because a team has a stronger resume or has done a little better so far this season doesn't mean ****. You can beat me 100 times in a row and I guarantee I'm coming harder every time. I just want everyone, even if its in your own fabricated world inside your own head to be the absolute best bowler in that world, without a doubt over and over again. Because if you don't have that kind of confidence about yourself, you have no chance. Here is a little video that I really enjoy that helps reiterate what I'm saying....
I think everyone on the team has the drive. Especially all the seniors on the team. I dont think the issue is motivation, work ethic, or talent. If we werent motivated to bowl, we wouldn't be here, we all put our time in on the lanes when we can, and we are all talented enough to compete at a collegiate level and be successful. Every bowler on this team for A team to C team, we all can compete.
Nationals can go a million different ways. Rob Mo may not even make it to nationals if another willy penn sectional happens like last year. Or even two years ago when Fresno State won. They were a team full of guys noone knew besides setch and then greg geering. If we worry about what we are doing right now we will be fine. Rob mo is a great team and yea it is frustrating to see what their team has become after the new rule was imposed about 2 years ago. The rule's goal was to spread the talented bowlers across numerous teams because we were criticized for always having 2-3 teams cash at tournaments. Now look at rob mo(jr team usa). To be honest that should motivate us even more.
As far as nationals goes. We gotta get there first. One step at a time. I am as pumped as any of us are. Im looking forward to making it a big last semester. Let's start with a big hoinke and blue and gold win.
