Has anyone heard of Robert Mustare

He's a recruit from upstate NY.  I got a call from a counselor at his high school about him.  He mentioned that Robert had shot two 900 series.  I thought the guy made a mistake, but when I googled Robert, his name has come up about shooting a 900.  The counselor says they were shot at an Air Force base and not much has been printed about.

Has anyone heard of Robert, does anyone know him and could confirm if this is true.  Frankly, I'm skeptical because this would be a big deal, I'm surprised I've haven't heard about it already.  This would turn the bowling world on its ear.

Here is a link about Robert. My brother pointed it out to me one day and when I read this thread, his name was familiar.

Check it first to make sure it is the same person.

Yes it is true he threw one in practice and then threw one in league a few weeks later. I believe he is only 17 and I have never heard of him before this. I have heard it from many people and read it.

i hear he once used his urine to water a desert field, and it was so fertile that they were able to grow wheat and corn to feed an entire country!

Well, I got to talk to Robert the other day.  He says both 900s are going to sanctioned soon.  Interesting stuff, I hope he comes here.

just to update, i got this stuff from pba.com forums.

most everyone on there is in an outrage because the claims are now up to 4 900's (2 league & 2 practice) plus some sub recently walked in and shot another one.  meaning the center has had 5 900's or what would be exactly half of every one ever recorded in the history of bowling in less than 3 months.

He's made the forum at Karl's site also;

I'm thinking this is the tip of the iceberg.  Still waiting for something from bowl.com to verify it.

The verdict is in on one of his 900s;

USBC rejects 900 series by New York youth

1/4/2006

By Mark Miller
USBC Communications

After a thorough investigation, a 900 series bowled Nov. 5 by 17-year-old Robert Mushtare in Fort Drum, N.Y., has been administratively rejected by the United States Bowling Congress.

The series, which was submitted as having occurred during a pre-bowling session for the Pine Plains Junior/Senior League at Pine Plains Bowling Center, was denied because Mushtare did not have a valid USBC Youth membership and the league was not USBC certified on the date the score was rolled. Mushtare is appealing the decision.

The Watertown USBC Youth Bowling Association did not receive Mushtare's membership card and league certification applications until Nov. 18. USBC rules require such information be submitted within 30 days of the start of the league's schedule. Since Mushtare's league started on Sept. 17, the 30-day grace period ended Oct. 16. According to USBC rules, because the information was received after the end of the grace period, services such as award recognition began the date the information was received

Another pre-bowl, like Jeff Campbell's.  Sounds, odd, hmmm...

i read something that said that his father & some of the fathers friend staged another 900 soon after that... like someone in the back was throwing pins or some ****e. I dont know how true that is & i dont personally believe it because I'll never know the truth... but after reading everything I'd say he seems pretty shadey. i wouldnt keep your pockets open while around him. but what do i know?

If we're still recruiting him, my only question would be: "Do you like chili dogs?"

UPDATE

theres a link on pba.com that i forgot to copy/paste

seems this douchebag is claiming to have shot yet another 900, which would make for 5 total, 3 "in sanctioned league"

i need to barf.

btw, randy, how much do you suppose CJ would charge me to have him stand back there & throw pins so I can have a 900 too?

Have any of them been "in sanctioned league" with witnesses? Or have they all been prebowling? That would be interesting to find out. I personally don't believe for a second that all five are legit (if any of them are).....who knows?

Here's news clip of Mr. 900

He doesn't throw it too bad.  However, I'm not buying into it.  I think it's time for the USBC to put their foot down on pre-bowl honor scores, especially ones with few witinesses.
