ok so i messed up BIG this semester... and as most of u know i was not going to return..... HOWEVER, i thought it over and decided to give it another try (you guys are to much fun).........and talked me into it.
Now who would i call to see if i can still register, change my major, and get a new room assignment.
Also if i get to come back, would anyone be willing to help me and kinda really show me what college is all about so that i actually attend my classes.
THANKS
Michelle

get over it!!! your life is not even half over yet.. it will only get worse (maybe better......if your lucky)
Thats great to hear your going to stay! You need to go see michelle on the top floor of spellman for your room and to sign up for classes you need to see your ADV and then go to the registers and let you adv know you want to switch majors and they will let you know what to do... and the part with helping you just let me know and I can see what I can do!
Yes Michelle, Suzy is right. Go see Michelle in charge of housing on top floor at Spellmann. It should not be a problem at all to get registered......your schedule might not be exactly what you want (just giving you fair warning).
As far as changing majors...you need to find out who the head of the department your new major will be in. You will need to talk to him/her in addition to your current advisor. They will then tell you what you need to do/know.
As far as finding out what college is really about and all....not sure exactly what you mean but just ask and I'm certain someone on the team can help. Also....glad to know you are giving it another try here.
I'm glad that you have decided to come back... lol I can kinda show you what college is all about..... It's a balance of having fun and classes and homework... when changing your major... make sure that you stick close to your advisor... Lay it all out and tell them how you feel. Being honest and up front with your advisor will go a long way... they are there to help. I know maybe a bad influence that I am I'm making grades and graduating in spring. I've been there done a lot of it.. I like to us a method of if I go to class and get the improtant things doen I can do things to reward myself such as go out lol and perhaps go the bar or something.... It get's easier as you get into a routine... That's the way I look at it.. and at the end of fall semester here I feel senioritis pretty bad.. however.. that's the way I deal with getting to class. ... As bad as it seems if I don't go to class or I don't do what I have to do I don't go out that day or however many days..... Happy to help with any other thoughts lol... If you want to know my wierd ways
i'm soo glad that you are staying!!! If you ever need help with studying just let me know and i'll be glad to help you out!!
Lis

Glad I got a chance to talk to you over this past tournament and I'm joining in the YAY Michelle bandwagon. I'm also glad that you are coming back to school. I'm willing to help out any way I can....do not come to me for help on papers...other then that possibly I could help out.
I can attempt to help you learn how to get good grades & yet not ever actually know anything. Just ask anyone who has ever asked me a school related question....I know nothing. I learned from the best. but...I prolly can't explain it in any kind of understandable way. so yeah.
awesome news about you staying at LU. About a new roomie like suzy said talk to Michelle in spellman. about getting your class's talk to Christy Rodgers. She is an awesome woman and will help with any problems you are having. Um, what Major are you thinking about going into?? then you will know who to talk to more. One bad semester doesnt hurt anyone... turst me. Also just the fact that you are coming back shows a lot.... call me if you need anything.. alight I am here for you. my number is 847-989-1036 its a cell so i am here all the time...
hey michelle... i'd like to help out but im not really good at much besides watching movies, making music, writing, sleeping, and sometimes bowling. also im not much fun... but i am a dork and you can laugh at my misfortune that happens more than often. i hope that will help some.... oh and im the master of knowing a lot of pointless information.
and for some reason... lizzy likes me.

I don't have time to find tons of really cool smileys, but I wanted to cheer your decision to stick around! (insert appropriate Phil cheer here!) As you can see from all the response, LU bowling is somewhat of a family thing... Errr...it might be completely disfunctional at times, but it works!
As many have stated, let me know if I can be of assistance in any way! I may have gone to school before cell phones, personal computers and e-mail were common, but some things haven't changed!
The only problem with selling Levin is that then I won't be able to watch him try to put bed sheets on the matress at 4:30 in the morning, and then drop it into the bed stand he has. He makes me realize that no matter what....my life isn't that bad!!! lmao

Set your goals first and foremost and ask yourself one simple question: "What do I like to do and have a realistic shot at accomplishing in the long run if I apply myself?" If you're unsure, don't feel guilty. Nobody does... they're just aiming. That's what college is all about: aiming.
Like Jes said... get in close with your advisor. He/she deals with multiple students in the same boat you are... unsure and looking, but trying.
