Lindenwood has a staff Sports Counselor. In addition to providing support to athletes who might be having issues, he also offers sports psychology. In other words, the mental game.
It's a seven week proactive program that meets once a week for about an hour to 90 minutes around 6 or 7p in the evening and includes a manual that's yours to keep. From my understanding, there is some flexibility in the meeting times.
At this point, it could potentially be available to us on Tuesday or Thursday evening.
In order to get something set up, I need to know who is interested. Please let me know by Wednesday, September 7th. Thank you.
Sport psych is my future career field so count me in!!

Checking on the possibility of that. Something like that would just be a one-time 60-90 minute shot. The 7 week program goes beyond that. Also check the handbook. There's some stuff in there to get you started as well.
Orlando, are you wanting to do the 7-week thing? Your post wasn't clear on that. Thanks.
Phil, can you try to push for doing this on Tuesdays? I'm in class until 8 Thursday nights and really don't want to miss this.

The Sports Psychology program has been set up for 6p on Thursdays, probably beginning October 13th in the Hyland Arena. Those that expressed interest please confirm that you can participate at that time.
I know that some of you were not available on Thursdays. I'm trying to set up a Tuesday session for you.
I'm not available until 7:45ish on Thursdays so if it could start later on Thursdays or if we could have a session on Tuesdays, that would be a lot better.

The start date is noted in the above post with the list of who is signed up for each day. Based on the start date and that it's a 7 week program, expect it to go through late November/early December.
