Adult Doubles Tournament this weekend

If any adult bowlers staying in town are looking for something to bowl there is a Gran Prix Tour doubles tournament on Sunday at 10am.  It is at Hazelwood bowl, which is about 10 minutes from LU.  They are not on typical house shots, but not exactly sport shots either.  It is $85 bucks per person.  It is 8 games of qualifying then stepladders. Pay ratio 1 in 3. Bracktets and side pots.  To enter, go to Granprixtours.com....click on the tour tab on the left. Scroll to the bottom and click on Enter Dave Harmon Memorial Doubles.

The shot for this tournament is 43 feet, 8:1 ratio. tapered evenly from 15 to the gutter.  It is always interesting to see how these shots play.  This one seems like it should be a bit easier than ones in the past.  Sometimes the winner averages over 250 cough cough Brett...but most of the time it takes around 205-215 average to cash.

Another option if you feel like waking up at the ass crack of dawn on a holiday weekend. Particulars on the flyer in the link that I hope works right on this wierd forum. Union is probably 30-40 min from St Charles. IIRC the winner last year got $750. Winning score was around +250 for 12 (which coincidentally is the same you have to be plus for 3 to do anything in a gran prix.) I thought it was a really fun tournament, and its the only plastic ball tourney in the area that I know of. Pattern last year was 31 feet.
