sheer brilliance is right.

thats almost as bad as the $290 Billion Highway Bill he just signed.
have you heard some of the projects that money is actually going towards?

actual planned projects include:
1.) A traffic light that costs $100,000
2.) A stretch of road dedicated in the name of Frank Sinatra that costs $1,000,000
3.) $231 million for a bridge near Anchorage, Alaska to be named "Don Young's Way" (he's a republican from Alaska... & no I dont care that hes a republican for those wondering)

lets see how much is used on the country instead of "specialized projects"

no wonder his approval ratings have dropped to 45% now. In January he was at 57%.

kerry wouldnt have done a damn thing better... but in 2008 we truly need a good president this time around.

sorry for those who like Bush, but between the gas prices hitting $2.50 for regular & increasing & this $290 Billion Highway Bill... do we really need to add more highways (i'll go for improving them) & do we need to make spiffy road projects in the name of white house officials and classical artists?

THere is no way we will get a better candidate.  The good ones will get killed by the dirty ones.

heres another road work gem.

couple weeks ago, the Busch race was at gateway, which for you out of state people is in illinois, but close enough you can see St Louis from the stands.  so MODOT picks the very day of the race to close I-70 at the Poplar St bridge,  which of course backed up traffic on the other 3 interstates that meet there as well for miles.  There was only an extra 70,000 people than on a normal day heading through there, so of course, why not pick that day to do road work.
