As seen on bowl.com... each year, USBC Collegiate hosts a singles tournament to crown an national singles champion.  Preliminary competition is held on the Friday before Sectionals at each of the four locations.

This year, the date is Friday, March 12th, 2010 and the four locations are:

Peoria, IL
Chattanooga, TN
Allentown, PA
Las Vegas, NV

Generally, the guys bowl six games in the morning and the girls bowl in the afternoon.  The top four guys and top four girls from each location advance to the national finals tournament held May 16-19, 2010 at AMF Euless in Euless, TX.

Anyone who is currently in school, taking 12 hours of classes and is academically eligible and hasn't already bowled the event 4 times can participate. 

You can bowl at whatever site you wish, but those not on the final Sectional rosters will have to provide their own transportation and lodging.

There is early registration available so I need to know if you would like to enter by Thursday, January 28th, 2010.  The school will pay for the $50 entry fee if signed up this week.  If you sign up and you then cannot go, you must notify me by Tuesday, March 9th so your spot can be properly cancelled.  You can't just not show up or you will be responsible for the entry fee. 

All bowlers will be registered at the Peoria site, but can be transferred to a different location.

Entry form is available on bowl.com under the collegiate/tournaments section.  (It's a GIANT file size, so it takes awhile to download).  Rules for graduate students to participate in singles are the same as for participating in collegiate bowling:  I believe it's a minimum of 6 hours of graduate coursework.
