"A College Answer"
The Question written by J Lowe
Voice of Dreams - The voice of dreams played a big role in the story of Gilgames. Before every major event in the story there was a dream that foretold of it happening. Explain how you think the powerful voice of these subconcious guides to the future played a role in the advancement of the story as well as how you think the story would have progressed if the dreams people had were not told to others and thus not interpreted. Use quotations from the text whenever possible.

(Keep reminding yourself...this IS a college student, and this WAS an ACTUAL answer he submitted here Lindenwood University...I didn't change any of capitalization, spelling, or any other grammer to make it look this way...this was how it was submitted.....oh yeah, and he's not mentally retarded...as far as we know.)
A dream before a major event I thought would be the one were he dreams of Enkidu's creation and his strength and goes to his mother about it and she reassures him that Enkidu will be his best of friend and will help gaurd him and protect him and Gilgamesh was like I pray for fortune and for fate to send me such a one that I may have a friend who's as kind and patient as a brother. I think it's cool because then why your reading you wonder if the mother is predicting it correctly. The whole time i was reading I was like is she gonna be actually right or is she just trying to comfort her son. I also think it's funny how a grown man like Gilgamesh and a hero and well known still has to go to hismom about nightmares he is having and be comforted by her showing how much of a mama's boy he is. If the dreams were told to me in the beginning I might not of paid much attention to detail in the movie because not only is this well known character gotta go to his mom for a bad dream but is comforting him with a story that you wonder if it's actually true or made up, it made me wanna go further in the book to see if his mother has good advice or just full of it. apparently she knew what she was talking about.
For some reason....maybe it is my cynical side showing itself....I'm not surprised at all. My burning question is, how many points did this "student" receive for that answer?
