I don't know how long everyone else waited in line to sign up for class.... but I was there 3 hours and I still have to go back to add a class that I had to go get a teacher to sign saying I could be in it! This Sucks!

Ahhh the joys of being a freshman huh Suzy? I'm sure it will get better as you go.....I got all of mine.....even though I did wait for 2 and a half hours on Tuesday.
this semester i waited 45 minutes and got all of my classes...now that i'm thinking about it, i've never not gotten into one of my classes.......
if you want to not wait on line for classes for like a year, then do what i did last semester and get your work and learn job in academic services...they let you register the friday before everyone else gets to if you're working in there.
I had a field trip the day of registering....so Kristen did all my waiting for me. For some reason they messed it up and I'm in the Competitive Sport of Men's Volleyball.....cause my name is so masculine. Plus I could not get into my World Lit. class unless I wanted to be there at 8......no ****ing way.....so yeah this school bites the big one sometimes....or alot of the time.
My entire college career was actually extended for a whole semester b/c I failed to sign up for a course that was only offered in the spring... I could have legally taken only one 3-hour class my last semester, but I went ahead and added some more. That's why I graduated with something like 144 hours... So, class scheduling is screwed up all over!
Basically, college prepares you for dealing with bureaucracy without absolutely losing your mind!
You know...another thing that always annoyed me... The final for an 11am class was always at 730a! And the final for an 8am class was always 3pm... What's up with that???
final schedualing is another thing i don't miss about college. At umsl i had this one prof twice, each time my wife was pregnant. He let me take the final early both times, when i saw him the last day i told him i was not signing up for another one of his classes and he said he fully understood. good guy
that happened to me once, i showed up for the first time in two weeks, hung over as all hell and there was a test. this was a math class (the last one i have ever taken) and i was mathimeticaly eliminated from passing. I attempted to take the test (left twice to puke) failed it misserably!
Did that in Physics my freshman year...8am class, first time I showed up in a while, had been up all night jamming after a gig and partaking of spirits and herbal refreshment...and aced the sucker. I AM the shizzle.

You ain't had nothing until you have to take a required Asian Philosophy course at 8am because it is offered at no other time...
