Hammer Midwest Collegiate Stats - Day 1

~Before reading, please note that any comments I have are not AT anyone or implied to be taken as talking DOWN to anyone. These are opinions from the stat guy to his teammates, so please take as my opinion, not me trying to be an ass. Thanks~

Here are the stats for the guys in team form only. If you want individual numbers, just let me know and I can give them to you:

A TEAM
Strike: 54.5% (180 of 330)
Spares: 81.7% (98 of 120)
Singles: 90.8% (59 of 65)
Corners: 92.6% (25 of 27)
Splits: 0.0% (0 of 30)
Just some random thoughts from these numbers, of the missed spares only 2 were washouts. That means we missed 20 simple, easy spares. Not OK in the long run, but, not bad for the first tournament of the year. I'm sure we were all a bit rusty. Singles and Corners were good, and I would consider a team strike percentage of over 50% not to bad.

B TEAM
Strike: 45.6% (145 of 318)
Spares: 71.5% (93 of 130)
Singles: 91% (61 of 67)
Corners: 81% (17 of 21)
Splits: 16.7% (7 of 42)
Of the missed spares, 11 were washouts, all missed. That'll definitely need to be focused on. AWESOME on singles guys, looked real good. Corners were good as well. Strike percentage was down a little bit, but from the looks of it you guys were in the pocket, just not gettin the breaks. Keeping it around the pocket is key, so keep that up as well. And nice shootin on splits, way to focus even when you know you're frustrated or pissed off for leavin a split.

TEAM TOTALS
Strike: 50.2% (325 of 648)
Spares: 76.4% (191 of 250)
Singles: 90.9% (120 of 132)
Corners: 87.5% (42 of 48)
Splits: 9.7% (7 of 72)
Strike percentage good. Spare percentage could be higher, but tryin to shoot spares with burnt up mids is hard. Singles were GREAT. Corners were above average. But splits. I had 5 myself. 72 as a team? We have definitely got to cut down on that. Lets try and not let that get above 90 after we are done tomorrow. Not including baker, obviously. Good first day for everyone, newbies and veterans. Let's go out tomorrow and keep bowling well, then, once we get to baker, we can regain the title of BEST BAKER TEAM IN NATION.

~For future reference, whenever we have 3 or more teams at a tournament I probably won't put individual team stats up. This team is deep enough for A and B to be compared, especially over the next few weeks. Plus, it's a lot of work~
