I just wanted to take a moment and say Thank You to the men and women that lost their lives in the attacks on 9/11/01, and also those who lost their lives fighting for our country over seas. I personally think that too many people have forgotten about this horrible day. So once again i would just like to say Thanks to all those risking their lives day and night to keep us all safe and protected.

"We will never forget"

P.S. Those that feel the need to make rude or pointless comments, please put them on some other topic. Thanks.

its odd to think that it was six years ago. I have been told that there are a few things in each generation that is so moving that you will remember like it was yesterday for your life (example: JFK assassination, moon landing). I believe this is one for us. On our way to school today Dean and I listened to the soundbites from that day on the radio. It seemed like I was hearing it for the first time again. Let us never forget.

We were having team tryouts at the time (I held them during the week at different centers; we finally had enough players to hold a tryout)...one of the men trying out was in the Marine Reserves, and he called me to say he couldn't make it to Harvest to bowl that day.  I remember standing around the center watching the news on TV and having no interest at all in our people bowling...most of the kids felt the same way.

I remember sitting in third period Spanish. It happened during my first period and no one bothered to tell the student body. An hour or so after it happened, our principal came over the intercom and told us what happened. One of the things i'll remember distinctly is that NONE of my teachers would turn on the TV and let us watch the news. Not even my U.S. History teacher. It didn't hit me until I got home and EVERY.....SINGLE.....CHANNEL was showing coverage of it. I don't know anyone who was injured or killed in the disaster, but, I know we all prayed for anyone who did. One random sidenote......9/11 is my dad's, birthday. I know it's not relevant to the topic at hand, but, its just another thing that will be shadowed by this horrible, horrible event.
