well hopefully my new toy... waiting for a few more "sponsors" to get back to me... this way i can pay for half of it (teehee) ...so far i've got two in the bag.
so hopefully all goes well and next season i'll be RAAAAAAAAAAACING!!!
its classified as a "Pure Stock" & will be raced on dirt...given the room, could easilly break 100mph on the straights but will prolly only reach 65-70 or so at the tracks I'll be at. So far has a 79 Monte Carlo chassis w/ an 89 Chevy Truck (unsure of model) 350 engine... which will be bored out to get to about 355... push clutch 2 speed manual transmission... helmet hose hookups... plus some other sweet features. Car was only raced 4 times by the previous owner & has 2 top 6's in that mix.
so as soon as i get it, it will be repainted ...i'll be sure to post some pics. but here it is for now.

you know what humorous, i know more about cars than you think i do. if you recall my dad raced for a long time, granted i was young but im not a complete n00b. I got out of racing for many years & my interest in cars just went away. But im into it hardcore now and hanging around with people who work & are smart in the business for the last couple months helped a lot. I learned a lot really fast cause I needed to obviously. My bestfriend Sean (who I'm letting race the car on Saturdays since hes hauling it for me with his truck) is a mechanic as well.
A lot can change in a year....
Oh & honestly... at a race because the time goes by so fast... basically if you have to do more than change tires or shocks, you'd be putting the car back up on the trailer anyway. You can't bring your entire gargage to the pit area.
And if anyones bored, I made a video for a friend of mine that I help out on Friday nights at the track. His name is Billy & races modifieds. They push out anywhere between 625-650 horsepower & thats only on a half mile. Check out the vid cause his car is sexytime! He's currently 6th in points. Click the car to see the vid-e-yo!
