Silverfox predicts LU men won't make it out of Sectionals!

I got this post off of collegebowling.com forum

Silverfox - This year will be the largest number of no shows. I will predict that there will be 8 to 10 teams not show up. This is the first time in the 6 years since I have been involved with college bowling that so many teams, that aren't in the top 16, have been shipped to sectionals outside of their region. You never saw the teams ranked in the 60's be shipped so far away.
More teams will show up when they get rid of this stupid 64 games of baker and make the sectionals the same format as the national finals.

Allentown - Saginaw, Robert Morris, St. John's, Erie Comm

Chattanooga - Pikeville, Nebraska - Lin., Indiana, Vincennes

Fairview - Purdue, Wichita State, Grand Valley, Missouri Baptist

Fort Worth - Fresno, Newman, Nebraska - Omaha, Louisiana - Lafayette.

Most of us know who Silverfox is.  I would rather not have a mass post response at the collegebowling forum.  That would be quasi-classless and talk is cheap.  Just remember this on March 25-26, and make him eat his prediction.

I thought I would add Daniel's post and Silverfox's response to his prediction;

Sportshot300 - Silver, I also have to say it's a bold statement, taking Indiana??? over LU. Just my, well, and some of my teammates opinion.

Silverfox - Leaving out CFU. I must of had a brain cramp. Old age maybe the excuse. Good thing I didn't play this as a parlay in sin city. I'll put CFU in place of St. John's. But I'll let LU hassle me in Chattanooga. Lets be honest, there are 6 or 7 teams in each sectional that could make it to nationals. The four teams in each sectional that fill the most frames will go to the finals.
Best of Luck to all.

No hassling, please.  Not at least until the tournament is over.  He is right about one thing, the teams that fills the most frames advance.  Everyone, WORK ON THOSE SPARES!

sorry Randy... I had to reply

"All I have to say is that talk is cheap & when we are at nationals, we'll send a postcard.

LU has never been highly respected. Other teams are able to damage alley equipment & spit on the lanes without much of a penalty.. if any at all. If we did that, we would be deported.

We have always been looked at as the underdog, even when we were at top of our games. We like it that way.

However, I do have to say that Morehead will be at Nationals. Like us, they have a really strong baker team & they typically make a very good showing at Nationals. Do not count them out.

That is all, goodluck to everyone.

Heck, FJ, you can respond all you want here.  This is our forum.  I was talking about responses on the collegebowling forum.

I agree with your sediments.  Feel free to trash him at your leisure. However, he's really a good guy, so I would refrain from personal attacks, but you can attack his opinion.

BTW, Cincinnati will be bowling that sectional.  I hope our bowlers keep that in mind when we bowl against them

This is what I meant.  FJ, what you posted over there was honest, truthful and respectful.  However, whoever posted this didn't do us any favors...

WOW Silverfox, I would think that with your old age and all you would know the definition of respect. I mean we did WIN nationals last year, and if im not mistaken almost the entire team is returning yet again, not to mention LU is at its best in the baker format. Wait what am i saying we will never beat Indiana hahahhhahaha

In one little paragraph, you insulted Mark's age, you told the college world we are the best baker team (maybe true, but did you really have to light a fire under Wichita's, Saganaw's and Fresno's arse, aren't they hard enough to beat w/o pizzing them off!), and indirectly insulted Indiana!

Ever hear the term, talk softly and carry a big stick?
