Just someone who hasn't competed in a tournament or something like that who doesn't understand how much physical energy it takes. Here is my two cents worth....
Whether or not bowling is a sport depends on the level you compete at.
If you are just out there to have fun like so many open bowlers....then no it's not a sport for you. For league bowlers, yes it is more of a sport but it's still not quite there. Once you are in collegiate tournaments or high school events then yes it becomes more of a sport. For professionals...it truly is a sport and the level of competition is at its highest.
So when people tell me bowling is not a sport I just say that it is at the level I compete at.
In my semi-professional opinion, the guy is a retard. He's clueless about the sport and what it takes to be good bowler. He thinks 537 is good! I think everyone should email him and tell him that he's a retard. By all means, you can tell him that your coach thinks he a retard too.
-I would like to issue an apology to all mentally handicaped around the world for my use of the word, "retard"; except, of course, to this retard Miles who wrote the article.-
