Some interesting notes however. Usually, there is a squad advantage, and that's the squad usually the has the best teams the blow up the the lanes. A team can really be put at a disadvantage if the in some of these split squad tourneys. Good example of that was RobMo finishing 1st on the B squad, but 6th overall in the tournament last year. This year RobMo is back on B squad; the next 7 teams in the rankings are on A!
Hey Girls, please note NO PIKEVILLE. This a huge tournament to miss. That's the gamble Ron took. Bowl the smaller Holiday tier ones, but skip on the giant tier ones at the end. The power points are much higher down the line. The winner in the 4 Holiday tier ones got 267,267,266, and 264. None of those tourneys had more than 20 schools entered. Last year, we got 267 power points for finishing 2nd, they had 38 schools bowl. Right now they have 48 schools signed up.

Might need it for sure! Here's the response I received from the tournament director:
The surface is wood, but I am not sure which type of oil machine is used. The shot is medium-long. That piece of info on the shot is the only piece that I will be giving out to anyone before Saturday morning.
to be quite specific it is a form of japanese wood. lol. Thats what i heard from some wichita kids my freshman year. I know freshman year wichita whacked em with sieges and avalanche solids.. and last year i had a great look with a damage. idk if any of that will help anyone but just thought any bit might help in ball selection being it that we only get 5 balls
