I believe LU is trying to relieve some of the housing issues on campus.
Dear Returning Male Junior and Senior Lindenwood Students,
Lindenwood University is pleased to announce the Commuter Plus program.
The Commuter Plus program is designed to give the Lindenwood student the option of commuting to the Lindenwood campus, but with all the benefits of the residential student. The total cost structure for the Commuter Plus program is $16, 930. This is an 18 percent (or $3720) room reduction from the current residential cost structure of $20,650. Students will still be able to utilize all the benefits the Lindenwood café has to offer. The 19 meals a week plan for the academic year will still be place for our Commuter Plus students to enjoy.
The Work and Learn program that you are currently taking advantage of will still be a part of the Commuter Plus program. It is important to know, the Work and Learn program represents an opportunity, provided by the University, to the student to pay a portion of his Board costs through work performed for the University.
The Lindenwood University Grant was designed to help offset your costs and make a personalized, private education affordable for you and your family. The original Enrollment and Financial Aid Agreement indicated a mandatory residential status to receive benefit of the Lindenwood University Grant. Commuter Plus students will still be awarded 82 percent of the current Lindenwood University Grant as indicated in the financial aid award.(IE: A current $5000 residential Lindenwood University Grant would be a $4100 grant within the Commuter Plus program.)
In order to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity please contact the Lindenwood University Housing Director at 636-949-4848 or mgiessman@lindenwood.edu today!
