i was wondering if anybody has heard if anybody was interested in coming here next year?
or if there are people that have been persued by lu students to come here next year. i have a few guys from the west coast that are really interested in coming here, so let me know if any particular person in somewhat interested in the program, and i could possibly help persue and try to get some good incoming freshman in the program.
and btw...if anybody knows who zach hattori is...im not giving up until he comes to the program. kid is nasty.
I have one from Nor Cal that's about 90% sure he's coming if he gets accepted. I've heard a few others talk about coming to LU, but nobody is really 100% on where they're going yet.
Tyler young (the one from Illinois not missouri) and Kyle Anderson... And Ive been talking to aj Johnson, he would be a really good recruit but I know the mck coach has been talking to him so I think he's leaning towards there so phil needs to get ahold of him.
as far as kyle anderson goes.. he's a family friend of ours.. he's considering LU but i doubt he's gonna end up coming here because he wants to stay close to home... sounds like robert morris is gonna end up being his choice, but he'd be a great one to pick up if possible.
There are a couple girl from southern IL that are thinking of coming I believe... I know of one for sure and I'm going to try to contact the other and see what she's thinking and try to convince her to come.
Elizabeth Beauchamp from Collinsville, IL and Kristy Gualdoni from Herrin, IL are the two I know of...and I'm pretty sure both of them have already made a for sure decision to come to LU. I don't have their email addresses or else I'd give them to you.
I have tried hard to get AJ here. I bowled a league with him this summer in Joliet. I think he wants to but is getting talked to by McK too much and I think his family is leaning there.
I heard about Blake from a few people in Washington and heard he is good and wants to be here.
I am getting too old to recruit lol. I don't know any youth bowlers anymore. Hattori would be a sick recruit
quinton mamer from KC and Raymond Lussier from Canada...Raymond throws it sick but I don't know how serious he is about coming he isn't to set on college and quinton is damn good too...idk about my lil bro but we will see what he decides to do
and oh yeah Hattori isn't coming anywhere near LU...talked to him this week he is going into the medical field not anywhere near business...he is going for school first then bowling...we can prolly get chapman here but idk how deep McKendree has there claws into him

Guys and Gals; when we contact recruits and get them here for a campus visit, we usually have a pretty good chance of getting them. Our players are our greatest recruiters, but only if we coaches follow up.
I can not tell you how many times I've had a kids come up and say they wish they would have came here. Many of them say the reason they didn't is because the school didn't contact them.
Phil and I have limited recruiting resoucres; other schools, like McKendree, have a very healthy recruiting budget. We match up well with them with bowlling facility, campus and financial packages. We just don't get a chance to talk to them.
Look at it this way, you're doing them a favor by getting them in contact with us. You might be saving them from going someplace else when they would rather have been here.
