The Lincoln County Fair is just 2 short weeks away (july 12-17, plus parade on the 10th). We have not one, but TWO tractor/truck pulls, a demo derby, the famous greased pig scramble, some country singin guy that you city folk have most surely never heard of, sheep, steer, rabbit & poultry shows, and much much more.
I expect every one of you to attend, that includes you out of staters. lmk in advance when you'll be here & i'll tell you where to go to get around the pay gate.
it does sound kind of interesting. its probably better than the lame church picnics we have here where you can try to dunk a priest into a tank of holy water and win a stuffed 12' inch jesus. and no im not kidding.

i can't say i'll be anywhere near there on those days, but make sure you set up a table along side somewhere and sell annabell beef sticks and willy muffins.
I will be packing for my trip to Cali during those days...plus not worth my time to travel and see a county fair when I will got to one in August probably twice the size. Sandwich Fair has all kinds of stuff to do and smell...mostly ****....but they are going to have concerts by Diamond Rio and Gary Allen (pretty big stars when it comes to country) I went to the Trace Adkins show last year. w00t http://www.sandwichfair.com/ more info There is also going to be a "Corn Fest" in August, but going to miss the Pumpkin Fest in October...damn my area has lots of fairs and festivals. Town next to me is going to have a hillbilly triathalon (don't care if that is spelled right) meh
Yeah Cali!!! Whooo, San Diego actually only like 5 mins walking distance from the beach. Probably going to Mexico too cause it is only like an hour away. Can't wait..guess I got to do something with the money I have saved up working my 7-7 shifts .
your all dissapoint me. to take such interest into a way of life most of you all will never know, and have the ultimate opportunity to really experience it and you're going to let it pass.
tsk tsk tsk
btw, funnel cakes would not travel because: 1.) i would eat it before it got in the mail, and 2.) i'm not exactly sure, but i doubt it would be very good after the postal service mutilated it
whelp, twas quite a show ya bunch uh lazy city slackers missed. we even had the big rig pullers out here this year. first time for them ta come ta owr fair.
