The school president has designated the basketball games on Monday, February 16th as a special recognition night. All the faculty and staff and their families are being invited along with the Board of Trustees of the University. All teams that made the post-season this year will be recognized as well as all athletes that achieved a 3.0 gpa during the fall semester. All athletes are encouraged to attend and try to sit together with their teammates, wearing something that would identify them with their sport. (in our case, one of our shirts probably)
The women's game against Avila begins at 530p and the men's game against the same school follows at 7:30p.
Sounds like it could be an interesting evening. We're supposed to get word regarding which teams and athletes would be recognized, but I think those that achieved a 3.0 last fall know who they are...We're also supposed to get a schedule of events for the evening.
It would be nice to get some participation on this...So, who can and would be willing to attend? Need to know by Monday, the 9th.
