Damn, no gambling on the horses at the Robert Morris tournament this year. That was fun even though I lost money in the long run.

The Brickyard was a tough call, but we were trying to mix things up a bit, pursue the best competition and avoid being on the road six weekends in a row.

Picking between the Robert Morris and Bearcat was tough too...Unfortunate that they ended up on the same weekend.

yeah phil, i'm more than willing to bowl 6 weekends in a row lol.. gives us more competition no matter who's bowling and helps us work on different shots as well.. plus, i liked getting that big medal at the end and i'm pretty sure we could do that again =)

That was definitely a consideration as well...as it is every year.

Yeah, bowling every weekend is fun, but it's good to have a break in there every once in awhile, especially for those that aren't just a car ride away from home and those that have to work another job during the week!  biggrin.gif

It's actually the same number as last year...

I could have sworn I heard Sport Bowl closed.....

If the brickyard still exists is just wouldnt be the same somewhere other than that cave.....and without Halwe falling down the stairs.

i know this is off topic, but i was wondering, randy or phil, if you guys know when we're going to have tryouts? i was also wondering if that sport shot league on monday afternoons was still taking place, and if so, is it still going to be at 4 and cost the same amount as last year?

Tryouts will take place the two weekends following Labor Day, September 6-7 and September 13-14...planning for 9am each day, but that might change on Saturday depending on the junior league schedule.

I don't have the fall league schedule in front of me, but if I recall correctly, the sport shot league is Monday afternoon.  Can't help you on the cost info.

alright, thanks phil.. im taking it you'll let us know if it changes... i'm assuming we're still gonna have a meeting or something before tryouts so all the newcomers know when tryouts and stuff are.. plus, it'll all give us time to introduce ourselves

Plan for Monday, August 25th, probably 7pm or so.  We're trying to establish a location...

FYI- In looking at the St. Charles Lanes Jr. League schedule, the PBA scholarship league is listed on Wednesdays at 4pm... That's different from what I said earlier...

Damn one of my favorite events last year was the Robert Morris tournament. It has to be the weakest college event of the year but boy did we have fun at the OTB. I cannot wait to defend the title at the Midwest Collegiate
