What's everybody!!! Congrats to everyone for making it through tryouts...Now that they are over, this is usually the time when shirt decisions are made...I'm sure you all know but in case you didn't mock neck shirts are now allowed in competition. I know many were in favor of them in previous years and probably many are in favor of them now...Thought I would let you all know that piece of info in case you didn't know. Rule 503-Collegiate... MOCK TURTLENECKS WITH A ONE-INCH COLLAR ARE ACCEPTABLE. Looking forward to a great year in a different role... See you in a couple weeks...

I had to come back and edit this post after looking at the collegiate handbook for this year. I noticed that most of us are on the cover watching the big lefty from sag nasty throw a shot. If you notice, there is part of a body next to E.J. which is me but you can't see me because I was looking over the bar to see his shot. The first thing I said to myself was "Ain't this a b%#^$, I could have been on the cover". Then I said, I don't want to be on the cover because we aren't bowling. Even though I can no longer lace up the shoes and throw a ball down the lane, I will still be putting on the shirt and representing LU week in and week out doing whatever I can... With that being said, everybody should take that photo as a slap in the face... What a great photo of a third place team watching the eventual back-to-back champion... Those who are returning and those who are new, you should get a picture of this and post it somewhere that you can look at it everyday and say to yourself you will not be watching another national finals, you will be competing in it and winning. I'm sorry for the rant but as a coach I feel its only right that I point this out.... This is for both the men's and women's teams...Take a look at the photo if you get a chance and think about it!!! It might motivate you...See you in a couple weeks!!! The handbook can be viewed at bowl.com/college...click on handbook... it's called collegiate varsity guide.

I already talked to a few of the girls about shirts- and the ones I've talked to are pretty set on collared shirts- we're still in the midst of talkin to the rest of them and deciding on what colors we want.  I'll try to attend the meeting depending on how much homework I get done.  A few of us are going to shop around if anyone else wants to join.

Jen, I would really like to have someone from the womens team represented at the meeting.  I ask Town and Mike to get shirts.  I don't really care what kind, but I favor "cheap".  I've looked at the prices of the Mocks, and they're not as inexpensive as I had hoped.weirdface
Ether way, I will leave most of the decision up to the team.  however, if no girls show up tonight, then you have no complaint when we choose biker leather with a skull and crossbones on the back.biggrin

Also, you can have all the colors of the rainbow, as long as they feature black and gold.wink
