Just wanted to send you a reminder that this coming Sunday (4/30/17) is the deadline for any of your bowlers to submit for the Chuck Pezzano Scholarship, offered through the International Bowling Media Association (IBMA).

Here is some of the information:

Any or all of the funds may, or may not be distributed at the discretion of the committee and IBMA Board of Directors. Individual awards may not exceed $5,000.00 per year. If there are any ties, money will be split. Winners will also receive a one-year complimentary membership in IBMA. To be eligible, applicants must: 

· Be interested in writing about bowling either as a volunteer, part- or full-time journalist. 

· Maintain a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA or equivalent 

· Participate in the sport of bowling, although bowling skills are NOT a requisite · May not have exceeded their 25th birthday during the calendar year of the award.

So there is a possibility of a $5,000 scholarship available.

Please forward this information to your bowlers, especially those who are in communications, journalism or a related field, or are interested in becoming a bowling writer/media person in the future.
