Athletic Training Support for our Program-Updated for 2017-18

The Athletic Trainer assigned to the bowling team is Alex Snow.  SHE is also the one overseeing the updates from everyone on Vivature for medical/insurance clearance.

If you have any questions or issues about the online Vivature process, you may contact her.  She will also serve as the primary trainer if any bowler requires treatment, rehab, or any other services that would be provided by Athletic Training.  She will reside in the Field House, but you should try to contact her first:

You may also talk to Shea, our trainer at workouts.  It's important to make an appointment first, rather than just show up.

A message from Alex:

Can you send out a message to the team for me? I am having a lot of bowlers come see me unexpectedly. I have a sign up sheet on my office door for all of my athletes that need to sign up to come see me or for me to take a look at them. If they can't make it in to sign up, they need to either text or email me asking when is a good time to come in. I am typically off campus everyday after 1:30 and won't be in my office for people who stop by unannounced in the afternoons. I have several bowlers who are utilizing the sign up sheet, and that is fantastic, but for those who don't know, could you send the team an email for me?

We've had two bowlers that no-showed for scheduled appointments with athletic training in the last two business days and either didn't provide any notification or cancelled well AFTER the scheduled appointment time.  This is unacceptable and could result in our program losing the services of our AT staff.  They're already stretched very thin with all of the sports that we have, and are a valuable resource, so please don't take it for granted.

If you schedule an appointment, make sure that you make it on time.  If it ends up that you can't make it, you must cancel as far in advance as possible.  Not doing so is the opposite of courteous and keeps athletic training from scheduling and helping other athletes.

Thank you.

A message from our Athletic Training department regarding physicals for returning fall 2018 players:

Our physicals for returning student-athletes will be on Sunday, August 26th, from 12-5pm.  Please make sure that your returning student-athletes are aware of this and know that they need to do their absolute best to be back on campus to get this completed.
