Make sure that you submit your work and learn time sheet before midnight tonight (10/10), regardless of your position/job on campus. If it's submitted late, you may not get credit for any hours worked the last four weeks.
We have had a few students come by today asking about the portal and why the portal was not showing Work and Learn. Please pass this information along to your Work and Learn students since it affects inputting their Work and Learn Hours onto the portal.
To prepare for spring registration, the default term code for the Student Portal has changed to SP SEM 15. The default term code will be changed back to FA SEM 14 in late November to prepare for final grades.
Finals Week work and learn Time Sheet (Dec. 6 Dec. 12, 2014)
Students may use Finals week as a time to make up hours that they have missed throughout the semester. Students should check their portals to find out how many hours are remaining for the semester. Students may work a maximum of 20 hours during finals week. The time sheet will be available on the portal. There is no sign-up process as the time sheet is just like any other time sheet through the student portal. The students must submit the time sheet by Friday, December 12, 2014 through the student portal.
J-Term Work and Learn
The students need to be registered for a J-Term class to participate in J-Term. Also students dont have to do Work and Learn to stay on campus. It is an option to make-up hours for the Fall Semester or work ahead for the Spring Semester. The max the students can do is 30 hours during J-Term.
As we are getting closer to the end of the spring, 2015 semester, please remind your students to have their hours inputted onto their time sheets and submitted onto the portal. This is important that the students submit their time sheets on a timely basis through the portal, so the Business Office ledger can be updated. Students that wait to input and submit their time sheets until after the due date can be released from the Work and Learn program for not following the guidelines of the program.
Also, any of the students that are wishing to work for the Fall Semester that have not completed their contracts need to do so before the end of the semester. This cannot be done through the Student Portal. Students will need to come to the Work and Learn Office to get the paperwork.
