2014 Intercollegiate Singles Qualifier

Each year for the past several, the school has paid an entry into the Intercollegiate Singles Qualifier tournament for anyone eligible wanting to bowl it the day before Sectionals.  This year, the date is Friday, March 14, 2014 and the four Sectional locations include:

Addison, Illinois
Ft. Worth, Texas
Smyrna, Tennessee
Allentown, Pennsylvania

If you would like to bowl the Singles Qualifier, please let me know by January 20, 2014.  I'll keep a running list on this thread.

The school has NOT provided transportation to the event in the past, so don't sign up if you're not prepared to travel on your own to the location of your choice.  Also, if you do sign up, please show up for the event.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Just to clarify, you don't have to be a part of the travel roster to bowl singles, you just have to be eligible for the spring semester and have not used all four years of your singles eligibility which is completely separate from collegiate team eligibility.

Once you're listed in the post above, I have you on the list.  If you're not listed and want to bowl, let me know!

As an option for those who will be traveling to bowl the singles qualifier on their own...

The team Sectional assignments will be announced Wednesday, February 19.  At that point, anyone on the traveling roster for sectionals will be moved to that site if they aren't already signed up there.

Up to 20 additional bowlers signed up for the singles qualifier may travel on the team bus and bowl at the team qualifier location (provided space is available at that site), however they would need to cover the cost of hotel rooms (and food) for the weekend at the team hotel.  All additional travelers would be excused from class for the length of the trip.  The length of the trip for anyone bowling singles I believe will be about noon on Thursday through Sunday.

You don't have to do it this way, but since we don't have a qualifier site in the St. Louis area this year, it's an option.

How long are they considering the "length of the trip" to be? Since the tournament is on Friday, is Thursday a travel day?
